We aspire to be as eco-friendly as possible in everything we do, from the organic food we eat to our re-engineered outdoor kitchen play island. We offer a natural learning environment by using both indoor and outdoor classrooms to incorporate nature in everything we do.

A Welcoming Spot for Each Child

INFANTS

We welcome newborn babies as young as 6 weeks up through 12 months. Available as a full day option.

TODDLERS

Our toddlers class ranges from 12 to 24 months. Full Day or Half Day packages available.

EARLY PRESCHOOL

Early preschool is for 2 and 3 year old children. Full or Half Day packages available.

PRE-K

This class combines 4 and 5 year old children. Full or Half Day packages available.

HALF DAY PRESCHOOL

The perfect amount of time to get outdoors and explore is from 9am - 1pm. Full week and partial week options available.

PRESCHOOL SUMMER FUN

School might be out but the fun continues with special summer camps like Water Wednesdays designed for our enrolled Pre-K students

Courtesy Drop Off ASSISTANCE

We offer a drive up service to any parent who is unable to escort their child to the front entrance. Expectant mothers can stay safely and comfortably in their vehicle while a staff member assists their child. Contact us for additional information on this option.

Flexible Scheduling

We offer both Full Day for all age levels and Half Day programs. Our Half Day program is available for Toddlers through Pre-K from 9am-1pm. Additionally, we offer both Full Week or Partial Week options, consisting of either a 2 day, 3 day or a 5 day week.

Outdoor Classrooms

Rain or shine, we love exploring the great outdoors. Whether its whipping up a pie in the mud kitchen, sailing the high seas in a real rowboat, or just dancing in puddles, there is something new to discover every day! Click here to see our wonderful outdoor space.

Health & Hygiene

We have always maintained a strict hygiene protocol to keep our family healthy and together. We now take temperatures daily before allowing any teacher or student into the building. Classrooms and restrooms are sanitized regularly according to CDC protocols.

Safety

Your child’s safety is our priority. We have a 2 door system to ensure no unwanted guests enter the building. The entry doors are locked at all times. Only staff have access to the security codes. All classrooms and our backyard are monitored via security camera in the main office.

The Compass Academy Journey

Owner/founder Jeena Sashittal originally opened “Little Critters In-Home Daycare” in her Smyrna, GA home in 2007 with the mission of providing a natural learning environment with a homey setting. After eight happy, successful years, the number of children who wanted to be part of Jeena’s daycare exceeded the amount of space her home offered. So Jeena and her family purchased 2 buildings down the road on South Cobb and completely transformed them to what stands there today . With expanded capacity, a more robust curriculum and new outdoor experiences to navigate, she renamed the childcare COMPASS ACADEMY.

Compass Academy LLC remains an independent, family-owned and operated enterprise and is a licensed Child Care Learning Center (CCLC) through Bright from the Start, GA Department of Early Care and Learning. Compass Academy is a registered member of the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance, (NAREA).
